I said once before that I am obsessed with chocolate. It’s not a healthy obsession- far from it actually. My chocolate drawer in my apartment has graduated to a chocolate cabinet. I wish I was kidding. My favorite though is the taste of melted chocolate. (Fun fact: drink tea or coffee before eating chocolate and it’ll melt right on your tongue. Ah-mazing.)

I also am a huge fan of brownies. It’s ooey-gooey and chocolatey, what’s not to love? I have tried to do the brownie in a mug countless times, but most recipes have eggs. I don’t know why, but something always freaked me out about putting an egg into a batter into the microwave. It’s totally safe but I’ve just never been a fan. It’s always grossed me out. So I figured out a way to make the brownie in a mug in the microwave without eggs! WOO! Also! It just so happens to be vegan! (Just make sure to use vegan/ dark chocolate chips)

But if you’re not worried about being healthy or vegan, because everyone needs a chocolate splurge once in their life, add some ice cream or whipped cream on top!

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tbs white sugar
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tbs cocoa
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tbs canola oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbs chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Add all dry ingredients, stir
  2. Add all wet ingredients, stir
  3. Add chocolate chips, stir
  4. Microwave for 2 minutes
  5. ENJOY!
